The Story
The year 2014 proved to be a busy one for indie rock mainstays Guided by Voices, and here they release their second LP of the year, Cool Planet, just months after their 20th record, Motivational Jumpsuit. The outfit recorded the album in their hometown of Dayton, Ohio during the bitterly cold "polar vortex" weather system that engulfed many American states. Led by enigmatic frontman Robert Pollard, the band laid down 18 tracks for the record, including first single "Bad Love Is Easy to Do." ~ Scott Kerr
