Mandarin-language crime drama co-written and directed by Wei Shujun. As police officer Ma Zhe (Zhu Yilong) investigates a series of deaths in a quiet riverside town in rural China, he becomes convinced that there is more to the case than his superiors believe. However, when he uncovers some of the town's long-buried secrets, he begins to question his methods and finds himself losing his grip on his sanity.
