Prince Adu stars in this drama co-written and directed by Sean Baker. Lucky (Adu) is an immigrant trying to survive in New York City. He works with Levon (Karren Karagulian) selling knock-off designer clothing and accessories and idly dreams about the future with his girlfriend Karina (Keyali Mayaga).

When his ex-girlfriend Linda (Kat Sanchez) reappears unexpectedly with a young son Lucky knew nothing about, she leaves the boy with him and disappears. As he attempts to cope with the situation he now finds himself in, Lucky must learn how to become a father overnight.
